I have chosen neocities as the host to accommodate this due to the simplicity with which
the site is managed. I do not have favoritism towards this particular web and I will only used for
the aforementioned aspect, I cannot recommend it for anything else.
Its system is quite limited, but it fulfills the function that concerns us
here.
Contrary to the AnCom spirit, everything detailed here is relatively serious with
the intention of achieving the best possible understanding of the concept without
distractions, which is why this is essentially mostly a flat and boring page that only seeks to present different points and information. Once this is clarified, I do not hesitate to admit that I have failed and sinned to point N1 of the anarcho-comedists to prioritize understanding. Perhaps someone more skilled can achieve the perfect blend of irony-ideological learning, without diminishing relevance or omitting information… Unfortunately, I cannot, so at least for now, this will be just that; A boring and explanatory document :o(
--ABOUT OTHER HOSTS--
There are alternatives to neocities, obviously. Free, paid, with different
features... Some even focused on humor! The problem is that
I do not know how reliable these sites are. I have a lot of experience with
different web hosts, some will delete your site regardless of
just hosting the default plain HTML they give you, managed by those who handle
everything. An example of this is the Infinity Tree service, which will delete your website and
block access to it (even if you did not make any modifications) to
warn you that you broke X rule and that to bypass this limitation you must pay.
While I am not saying that this same case repeats with other hosts, one of my
main concerns apart from trust is the longevity they
give to your site and the "uptime"... I never saw neocities or any site hosted
within it fall or be deleted due to inactivity, for example. I cannot say the same
about other alternatives.
--ABOUT MODIFICATION OF THE MANIFESTO/SITE--
Everyone is welcome to modify, expand, or translate this as they wish. To
steal it and pass it off as their own. I consider it common knowledge material
and therefore it should not be subject to any conditions,
license, or clues pointing to any specific owner. After all,
the goal of all this is simply to spread an idea, and if I were to try to
impose limitations, I would only spoil this goal and hinder the
proper sharing.
AnCom can have different interpretations based on each person's own ideas
and therefore modifications and personal versions are
more than welcome. Unfortunately, due to the way
neocities or documents in general work, I cannot allow (even if I wanted to)
community modification of the page or file, so if someone is interested in expanding on any point, they would have to publish their own
version/revision of the manifesto on their own elsewhere.
